I've been playing off and on since world 6 and I loved the new updated features, the game keeps growing and I really like the direction it's heading. I used to shoot animals from boats, that seems to no longer be possible. I've now attempted luring them to cliffs, but after damaging them and chasing them for what feels like ages (and dangerously so with other animals about!) my marks just don't seem to die, I've not the opportunity to shoot them again, nor do I have the means to get enough resources without their meat, intestines, and bones to feed my village.

Taming! I am used to calling down thunder, gaining advantage and then quelling to have the beast transmogrify into its domesticated counterpart. With my lack of melee expertise in this new combat system, which I'm learning slowly but surely, I fail to understand how I'm able to tame a beast in the first place, I've noticed some new "Hearth Magic" spells but rather than waste experience on a fizzled attempt I'd just like a point in the right direction to how it's done now.

Mining! I'm used to radial mine supports and all the fun of spontaneous cave-ins, trolls, and mining hours on end into stony nothingness. I have discovered a few mines and have been lucky enough to find some metal within. I however am unsure what all these new minerals are about, realism is always welcome but I'm no geologist. What minerals should I be looking for? How does one try to get a metal industry started and what tools/attributes/skills are recommended to start such a venture?

Exploration! I've seen a few posts complaining that exploration is "dead". Is this nonsense or does it retain some merit? I loved leaving and exploring to bring back chests of edels, chiming bluebells, and river pearl mussels in their pixilated glory. Are crafted or animal curios now much more superior? What are the standards for which curios are compared, are we no longer based on an edelweiss based economy with points and pearls being our backbone? I'm curious as to how things have changed in this regard given that I've been absent for quite a while.
