I planted sprouts of cypress, spruce, pine, fir, larch and yew in the ground about three days ago. So far, none of the trees was not transferred to the next stage of growth. All trees planted in the coniferous forest.
1) What am I doing wrong?
2) How much time should be on stage?
3) Who else has been able to grow a tree?
4) Does the quality of the land affects on the quality of wood or its growspeed?
Thx.

the quality of soil you used in the pot effects the final quality of the tree, but not the land you planted it on.

Nobody knows yet what growing times are or what native terrains are (or if they even matter) that I'm aware. We can only speculate. No idea if tree stunting is still a thing, and if it is, what causes it. Keep us updated, though. Feel free to share pics of times and such if you're brave enough.

I'm getting about a day a stage, this is about 4 stages I think? It's on a pine forest biome. Mulberry planted on dirt has gone through 1 stage in those 4 days.

Not conclusive anything, just what I've got so far.

What happens if I shoot someone with a bow but I do not have the rage skill? Do they need to have initiated combat first so I have chance to hit?

That would be my understanding, but I have not verified it. Also note: You "get" full benefit of rage skill when on your own claim. So you can always defend your claim from people walking on it if you so choose.

How do I sow seeds. I have pumpkin seeds (split to "1"), a plowed field, level seven farming. From the wiki and what I found on the forums it should be left click on the seed in inventory then right click on plowed tile you want to plant it on. No joy though, nothing happens. What am I missing?

EDIT: Nevermind, I see you need a minimum of 5 to plant.

If my village has a cave entrance inside the walls, is it possible to put an object in front of the entrance to prevent people from bypassing the palisade?

Also how much of a pain is it to build multiple walls compared to adding onto a wall that is started? Is it like the old game?

Do cliffs block animals from getting in, if the cliff is claimed and the entrance is fenced?

Extending walls is substantially cheaper and easier than trying to build multiple corner posts. You can very easily do both but there isn't much point to. Building gates is worlds easier now. For example, once you've set the first palisade cornerpost with leather, bone glue, rope, and wood blocks all cornerposts, walls, and gates after that just take wood blocks.

I'd suggest practicing on a roundpole fence first.
