You cannot but you can CTRL+A for the larger map, that can also be resized dragging one corner.
Make friends with the other crabs or try to escape the bucket.

Yeah as any others animals or objects, use the minimap for that.

Can't hardly see the snakes on the minimap, either, because of the artwork... especially if on just the right terrain.

Yeah also when the icons go on top of each others, and you have a blue berry on top of a bear that you cannot see :D .... definately needs some fix later on.
