Well quality is the quality of the water at the position it is built. You can then use the Hearth Magic "Dig deeper" to raise the water quality by a few points. Note that Dig Deeper does have an exponential cost to raise well quality.

I'm not seeing anything on the wiki about the demijohn softcapping products. I haven't been involved in this process enough to know how correct that is. Sorry.

have we concluded what the "magical" point was for picking poppy pods? i havent a clue as to if im doing this right or not, as i havent retrieved a single one yet.

I have discovered boards, dried hides and learned the tanning skill but under buildings and constructions, tanning tub does not appear.
Is there something else I need to do to unlock it?

Verify each one (you'll have crafts for them in the crafting menu and such). Double check bark and water, too, just to make sure.

edit: and double check for the skills in the list just to make sure you have it. It wouldn't be the first time it was accidentally overlooked.

How would you verify them?
Like being able to craft specfic items such has rabbit shoes and a bucket?

Yeah, if you can craft a bucket, you know boards. If you can craft a metal bar, you know metal nuggets (at least one kind of metal, anyway)... that sort of thing. Sometimes that is easier than just trying to rediscover a specific item. When it comes to skills, the same thing holds. If you can make bread dough, you know baking, even if you can't find it in the icon list of skills.

@jorb/loftar: if you see this, we could use the list of names back for the skills. Clicking through available or known skills to track down something missing is a task in tedium.

Found out what was wrong.
Tanning tubs need wooden blocks as well now and I haven't discovered them yet.

Put a beehive in their vicinity and wait a week for some pods, last I checked.
