I've been getting less than 400LP from ant queens. Could be I need to raise survival to get higher quality but IDK.

Quality is directly related to LP gain, ant queens have a base LP of 500 (at Q10/10/10)

Yeah. Survival hardcaps the quality of items you get when foraging. This includes ants, dirt and clay you dig up, etc.

Old Boot is between 2-3 hours. Pretty sure its 2.5.
Thorny Thistle is no more than 4 hours.

My first flotsam dropped today. Looks like it takes about 3.75 hours to study? (It appears to take 135 seconds between percentage ticks while studying)

Added info, my perception is 23 and my exploration is 7.

Merging my comments regarding this from a thread:

For many of those who didn't read numerous threads about it:

Curiosities now require something called Experience, which is different from Learning Points. Each curiosity has a cost associated with Experience to grant you Learning Points to acquire skills and increase abilities. Experience is only acquired from random events as you play your character, so being short on experience to study curiosities may cripple your character in the long run.

I'm not listing a full table here (unless requested), but I've found through research that the following curiosities have very low LP/EXP ratio (which means they give less Learning Points per experience given):

* Cone Cows
* Dandelions
* Bat Wings

This being said, Mirkwood Offerings have excellent LP/Hours, which means you'll get a lot of LP per hour. So if you have spare experience points, go ahead and use the offerings. The more Intelligence you have, the more the Experience drain will rise, so saving Experience may become a higher priority later on. Myself, I'm using offerings until I stay in the 1.5k~ experience mark. This means I have a stock of ~40 offerings ready to be used and when they're gone, I'll wait until expeirence rises again.

All curiosities with very few exceptions have a LP/EXP ratio of ~120-150. So you don't have to mind too much about the other curios. So far, the only "good" LP/EXP ratio curiosity which is fairly common is the Auroch's Hair.

In terms of "good" LP per exp rates, ants are also pretty good. Once more experience costs are filled in on the wiki I will add LP/exp so people will be able to see a nice table.

1750 base LP, 16 hour study time (could be 15h, this was through extrapolation). This curios should not be neglected with a base of 109.375 LP/hour in 1 slot at 2 attention

cone cow, dandelion and myrkwood offering have the same LP/exp ratio, iirc the ant soldiers have the same too.
