Do ammount of quests you have counts for the chance to get new ones? Is it better to abandon quests that are from far-away questgivers, so it's easier to get new quests from other?

For the first question: somewhat. You can only get so many per day, but that number is cumulative, so if some days you don't do any quests, it just keeps adding up. The number you get is based a bit on a ranking system with those not at the top getting slightly more until it hits some cap. Sorry, don't recall that cap right away.

As far as the second question: sometimes, but it's random. Distance to the objectives is based somewhat on the number of quests completed. the more you do, the further and further away you get. There does seem to something approaching a max distance. If it's way out of the way, I usually abandon them if its' not an "easy" one to do and don't feel like wandering for an hour or two.

In treeplanting, should biome still be considered in regards to how fast certain trees would grow? E.g. grassland vs forest biomes
or specific trees would grow differently in different biomes they really spawn in?

I feel like the update notes confirm it.

Is pearl diver worth it to go for?

I was thinking of going pearl diver as a stretch goal for me this world, but I both don't know what kind of chance is "significant" to getting a pearl and from doing a quick search it seems like the global pool makes that credo less worthwhile?

According to https://hnhfood.vatsul.com/ it's possible to get smoked badger botillo to go to negative 1 hunger by smoking it with "200% pear". How exactly does one do that, does it actually remove hunger? Is this a new kebab-type exploit, or am i just being dumb and forgetting something?

I couldn't find it in patch notes, but AFAIK there was some "double-smoking" exploit for a while right after the sausage smoking was implemented.

18011) Smoked Delicious Deer Dog (200% Pear tree) - -2.8

Looks like you need to use 200% of a tree to do this.

EDIT: The first entry containing Osier (new this world) is #29672, the last with negative-hunger is #24165. From that it seems unlikely any negative-hunger food has been made this world (it would have to be one of the ones discovered before w13, or it would just not have to be seen in Shubla's client).
