oh right, ya i guess it does, it just doesnt show it in the menu when you hover over the item with the hood up, which mightve been why i forgot about it.

I forgot about it too. Had to actually go test. I'm surprised how much stealth it gives for such a low q cloak.
At that rate, its a 15x scaling while all the other stats are only 5x.

What stats should I pay attention to when breeding my animals?

I've been focusing breeding quality, and completely ignoring everything else. For example I'd pick a quality 100 mare with 150 breeding quality over a quality 150 mare with 145 quality.

Should I be averaging quality/breed? do I care about metabolism/quantity stats? The wiki/forum have had contradictory conclusions, and I've no idea what I'm doing

Link the page(s) you're looking at in the wiki thread, and maybe someone can take a look at them for consistency and language. (Sorry, I'd answer your question, but I'm rusty on animal breeding during recent worlds, and some things have changed since I last managed livestock.)

I guess the answer is going to be no, for the reason that mining must be done on a cave wall.
I fail to see how a cave doesn't have walls though, so perhaps I'm misinterpreting something about your question?

Adventure->Mine dosn't target the cave walls but the 'floor' of the void tile.

Look at system messages when trying to mine, it could contain clues (like needing a tool equipped) or try area mining (same as farming).

Or rotate the camera, walls only show when you look at them from free space, not from behind (from inside the wall).
