it hurts me that you are using cat gold to make pyrite sparks when you could be making cats curios out of it.


They're Q10, and I've been trying to spawn the gold pebbles. I can't make cat curios good enough to be worth it.

Even at Q10 you can still boost it up with anvil and hammer.

It happened to me once.
When you craft the Pyrite Spark there is a chance you will receive a gold pebble instead of the Pyrite Spark.
Seems to be a ultra rare occasion, i don't think it's worth trying to "farm" it using cat gold pyrite sparks.

Those rectangles of grass that show up on other biomes, what causes them? I assumed they were scars left by players terraforming, but then I went to the edge of the world and saw they exist even outside the map boundry.

Forest biomes can decay into grassland if there aren't trees close enough.

I understand that animal quality is affected by nearby civilization. Is there anything more substantial known about this? And is something known in which qualityranges the different animals can appear? Recently encountered a ~q350 moose and started wondering.

I think that "civilization" affecting animal qualities thing of long past. Animal quality depends on nodes, meaning that (nearby) where you found q350 moose, you should be able to find more hq moose.
