Is there a way I can jump on my friends' wildenrness beacon with already created character?

Or any way to cross deep water without my boat being destroyed?

No. Wilderness beacons can only be used to spawn new characters.

Or any way to cross deep water without my boat being destroyed?

A bigger boat.

Can someone help a poor hearthling out?

You probably hide it with the space bar. Tap it a time or two to get it back up.

For a bigger map: Ctrl+'a'.

No dice. I have been relying on the "CTRL+A" option to get around, but it doesn't have foraging icons. Thanks for your help though man

No, it doesn't have foraging icons and such. It's a map of the area you can mark up and keep track of important places. Sorry, didn't mean to imply that it was a replacement for the mini-map.

Does anyone know yet if you can put saltwater in tanning tubs? Don't want to build one by the sea unless I can fill it there....
