Mountains for sure. It's black.

Distribution of ore/rock is random and has no correlation to surface biome, from my experience.

There's one in a crate right here, but it wasn't me who found it so I don't know for sure. We live near a seacoast, so if anything I would suspect that you only get them by the sea, if anything has changed?

I always thought rock biomes were unrelated to terrain biomes? Could be wrong though. I mean I'm on dryflat and it's covered in cinnabar, when I never saw that on the dryflat near me before, I used to find it far far away in a different part of the world.

Basalt boulders look like their picture on the radar option in Ender's client :) (and other clients have similar options).

I got it back. All it took was uninstalling Java and reinstalling fresh. I feel like a new man with my minimap back

Definitely, and think jorb has stated so himself, though I'd have to dig clear back to w8 to find statements of such.

Also remember to check caves as they can have a different distribution of rocks. Dig on any stone ground you find as those can be different, even 5-10 tiles away.

Glad you were able to resolve it. I wonder what happened that caused this.

What happens when you abandon a credo quest? I need a washed-up bladderwreck but it seems it only spawns near oceans, and I haven't found it yet.

You'll get another quest, plus you void one completed quest, meaning each time you abandon one you'll have to make two instead.

In case you abandon the first you waste the 10K LP as you'll have to restart the credo.

I'm not sure what the downtime is. I've never needed to use it more than here or there. you do need to have cleared (completed or abandoned) all quests in your log before you can use it.

That's not true, though.
I successfully added 1 more quest when I had 2 active already.

I needed one too and was unable to find one until I finally got one from beach trash. They may have been changed to appear only in beach trash, unless someone can confirm they found a normal washed-up bladderwrack.
