Thanks you both!

@MagicManICT: i dont get the calculation example on this FEP side.

It says:
"Joe has 15 in all attributes. So he needs 15 FEPs to get his next attribute increase. He eats enough bear meat to give him 10.5 Strength FEPs, and his Strength goes up by one. Wait, he needed a total of 15 FEP's didn't he? This is an example of the "variety bonus" that's applied to eating. The first item he eats reduces his required FEP's by 30%, to 10.5 from 15. Because he ate only STR giving FEP's, his STR went up to 16. "

and FEP Redution per unique item:
0.632 ∗ \sqrt(MAX)

i wonder:
If i need 15 FEP and eat an item with 10.5 FEP its 15 - 10.5 - 2,45 (the FEP Reduction) and this wont be enough for the increase or do i understand something wrong?

Where can I read about tree's seeds respawn rate?
For example, olives from olive tree. How long does it take to restock its olives?

Trees restocking their produce is a function of decay, they need to get hit by it.

While there have been made some advances to it, the map tile still has to be active (=loaded) for decay to happen at all.
So you might want to park an alt next to the trees you want to have restocked.

i'm not sure if the math is still exact, but the concept is. The variety is based on the specific food you eat. If you need STR, eat a piece of roast bear for your first reduction, eat a piece of roast boar for second, and then an ant soldier for your third, etc. Note that you could also eat one boar mean, one rat on a stick, and a seaberry and get the same FEP reductions. The downside of the second is that you now have chances at three different attribute points instead of just strength.

Note that I don't necessarily recommend those foods, I'm just trying to get the concept across as to how to use the math in your favor. Potentially, you need half or less of the FEPs of your maximum stat.

Essentially every unique piece of food you eat will reduce the total FEP needed to get a level.

Hover your mouse over your empty fep bar, it will say 0/xx (your highest stat)
Eat a piece of food and hover over your fep bar again, it will say yy/xx - variety bonus (total fep from food eaten/ your highest stat - variety bonus)

Every unique piece of food after that will further reduce xx. In fact, food items with no fep bonus like taproots and beet leaves will add to your variety bonus without adding any feps

So how effective is a Miner's Helm at reducing cave-in damage? The wiki says '[i]t greatly reduces damage taken from cave ins', but if this is just a relative decrease from full cave-in damage that would likely leave enough damage to knock me out, which would make it useless. Does anyone have any experience with getting hit by a cave-in with a Miner's Helm equipped? And does quality matter for cave-in damage reduction?

In my experience, you still take shitloads of damage, but even with shitQ helms they've always prevented me from taking enough damage to be knocked out if mining at relatively fullish HP.

Spares the concussion, which sucks when you don't have snow nearby (and this early in the world: cloth).
