My first thought was it got shot with an arrow, but quality of your tool matters when butchering. Tools almost always softcap the target product.

Sounds about right. (21+54)/2 = 37.5, rounds to 38.

Do you need both pavement and a claim to stop decay on a timber house? or is just a claim fine if I was able to build on the terrain?

Claims are now "all covered" for decay prevention, no matter terrain type.

Taming always produces a quality 10 domestic animal. You must breed them to get a higher quality.

Another question:
How many real days will the taming take? 6? 4?
If i'd start taming in the Friday evening, would i finish before the Monday? For example in the monday morning before thw work.

Usually 3-4 days. It's basically "bring the animal in and punch it in the face once a day three days in a row".

If you have 8 hours work day (and not insanely long commute) it is usually ok with taming if you check the animals before you go to work and after you return.
Too old to rock-n-roll, too young to die.
