Only thing I have access to atm that helps is leeches, and those rarely seem to actually do anything.
Let them get full, then wait until they're back to normal size. Their quality should increase over time. If you keep using the same ones you can get them to the same quality as your constitution. The likelihood they heal it increases with their quality.

Different parts of the world have different stones in their caves. With all these new stone types porphyry is surely somewhat less common. Keep in mind "rustroot extract" shows what mineral is one level below you, so using it on the surface enough times should give you a good idea of what stone lies in the caves. Keep in mind porphyry may not exist in cave walls anywhere near you, or even on the same continent as you.
Might be worth abandoning the quest if it's really that hard to find in your area

Areas? Not even biomes? If there are porphyry on surface as boulder, does it mean that in cave under it will be porphyry in wall?
