What is the best use of your high q trees for making coal/smelting?

I've heard a few different things like loading up smelters with junk coal and then adding in the last piece as the high q stuff.

Any tricks for tar kilns? Seems easier to get high q boards but blocks give more tar/coal.

Any advice?

The fuel bug is gone, when you now let something run out the progress instantly resets.

So the only way now is to fill any tar kiln to the fulliest with the best q boards and then 12 coal into the smelter. There's no other tricks and tips?

Forget coal unless you have very high quality trees. Get in the mine and find black coal. Until that point, yeah, run boards for quality, blocks for quantity in your tar kiln.

Get Miner credo done as soon as possible.

Appreciate all the help.

Just as an aside what int do you slap on new toons before you start building them properly?

Grow it with the stats you want to raise and stop feeding INT when you see fit (= when they can digest their curio diet).

Gotcha, I'm raising my mains ones all at the same time was just wondering for my other toons.

Say, the postbox. Does that allow other people to add items into it but not open it up if it's locked?
