Having a hard time with it. My fighter alt can comfortably take our foxes but I'm still having trouble with the insane bee spam

You just need to raid a lot of hives. Approximately 1 in 10 or so will have no bees, and you'll get to raid it for free. Not much else to it.

So no fighting just raiding and running if it spawns. Bizarre

Does a local resource in a cave start producing since world start or after someone finds them?

From previous discussions, only when seen the first time, though there may be exceptions to that we haven't figured out yet.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

What are you talking about? I don't remember any big animal-related changes recently. And the only micro-management I can think of is to not accidentally shear off male's parts together with wool. :)

Animals don't average stats anymore. They pick either mother or father's stat and apply random to it with a slightly higher chance to pick the better one.

My rule of thumb for milking animals atm is "Breeding at least = to Q of male, Breeding = to Q-10 of female, highest milk quality after % multiplacation (milk final on livestock manager)"

It seems to be working fine. The basic summary of the new system is "Breeding Q matters now make sure to pay attention to it, don't backbreed good stock to bad stock because you'll be unhappy with the result".

I.e. kill bad offsprings, leave good ones. Exactly as before. I don't see where is micromanagement added, but it might just be me... :)

here's the idea implemented by "Cabinet Swarm" update... it was designed to reward micro management, and definitely does goes slower than before if you abide by RNG

For Quests that ask you to pick an flower etc, can you get it from a garden pot or does it have to be wild?
