Beaver dungeon. Room full of white beavers (10 of them). We aggro one of them in other room and kill there. New one spawn and aggro us, run to us and attack us. We kill him as well. This repeated like 100 times already. No key dropped so far, gates to next room still locked, room just keep spamming new beaver to replace killed one. What do we do wrong? There is no other rooms to be opened left, beaver king didn't killed yet. How exactly we must open next room?

Generally, no, because even new players aren't going to have access to the same things, and people don't develop their characters in the exact same way.

Some guidelines:

  • Tailor credo is awesome when it comes to making artifacts.
  • Use cheap materials and gilds. Use recycling to make better artifacts. You should be able to do 3 without too much expense before the tailor credo, 4 after you get.
  • Get familiar with the list of available gilds on the wiki. http://ringofbrodgar.com/wiki/Gilding It's a bit cumbersome to search through by scrolling, so use your browser's page search (typically ctrl+f in English operating systems) to find a specific skill or attribute.

I'm not sure if I'm missing any pointers or not.

Using armor and proper combat combat moves is highly recommended. Cheesing animals while taming leads to killing a lot of them.

All good info thanks. I'm sitting pretty waiting for my lil muflon to get rowdy. Time to quickly slap some more foxes/bats for more moves

Does the Breeding Quality stat only affect the main Quality stat in offspring, or does it affect other stats too?

I have a gauze over a wound that says 0% below it since last night. Does that mean it's not healing? Or the gauze is too low Q to work or something?

I believe Jorb said that the percentage is the chance the wound will get worse by interacting with other wounds.

My understanding of it is to look at it as "wound protection." here's the quote from jorb:

jorb wrote:Each treatment, when applied, now applies a treatment factor to the wound, dependent on the quality of the treatment applied, which reduces the reactivity of the wound -- i.e. the likelihood of it wanting to combine with incoming new wounds to create more severe wounds -- by the treatment factor percentage.

Stitch patches suck in every way except this. The worst I've used, about q20, was around 50%. The last I used had a value of almost 80%. I forget the quality off hand. Compare to waybroad, typicall <10%, and gauze, around 20% from what i've seen at qualities I have access to.

How do foragables respawn? Is it after a fixed period no one has been there or it checks in intervals and if no one is around during the check, it reloads map?

That makes sense. So my crappy gauze won't protect me from getting more serious wounds on the cruel incision but the singing poultice and cold compress will help mitigate any more serious wounds because they're 50% plus. Damn that bear got my fighter good

While I'm on a roll is it still the case that there is only a 5 hour window to beat down/tame an animal before it despawns? Seems kinda harsh, you miss out on a few days worth of taming just because you went to bed

In case the server dosn't detect a character needing the map for some time it unloads it.
