If the power didn't go out, I'd still be trekking to the mountains until now. It has been a few hours of travel already but I'll be damned if Dawn on the Mountain isn't the lore that has been locking up the rest.

This lore lock system is kinda eh. I'd prefer it if all lores are accessible and rnjesus reliant instead of a invisible fetch quest
W3 to W6 - Blockland. Special mentions: New Avalon, Tarn of Hotdog, Red October.
W7 - Elvenia, til we all got lazy.
W8 - Cult of R'lyeh, til the deeps called us back.
W9 - Tartarus, til death/wizards came for the land itself.
W10 - ???, ruined and forgotten.

I dont think theres any lore locking going on here, im certain its all random number generator nonsense mates, i get the same few lores over and over again and my list is small at about 10 so theres no you have to do this or that system going on as far as I can tell

Suddenly I got the sowing seeds one, the grass one and the standing on the borders one. Deadlock slightly resolved, I wont be studying mirkwood for a while that's for sure.

So we are assuming the RNG selects an experience and until you get that one you won't get any others. Perhaps some are more likely than others, but you'll still meet deadlock if you can't find the experience you need. Perhaps J-Lo could make it so that if after x amount of game time on <50 experience the "quest" changes.

Has any changes/confirmations been made regarding Lore & Experience mechanics? I don't seem to notice any change, and it wasn't mentioned at all in the patchnotes, despite jorb being well aware of the issue.

Sorry for the necro but I am currently reconsidering whether to subscribe now, as I feel I wouldn't be able to make full use of my time if I'll be stuck at 0 experience three days into my subscription.

Its been stated that more experiences have been added, and will be continued to be added in an attempt to make it less likely players end up at 0. While there is a locking system in place of some kind, the main information I have seen suggests that it doesnt lock out all experiences but a few, but if you are locked out due to several pending experiences this is how you end up in a situation with few to none, so more and more are being added and im sure the mechanic tweaked a bit, give it some time and we'll surely have the system working the way it should

So from what I've seen on my three alts the more inactive ones hardly receive experience. There are only a couple of instances where I get experience, but when I do, I start getting them all fairly close apart. I have a couple of guesses.

1. The server takes into account your Actions per Min and put that against how sporadic your actions are (AKA not bot-ish).

2. when you first log in (after a long period of not playing approx 8 hours) you have a higher chance of getting exp.

3. Combo of both.

I figure that since the EXP system was introduced to kinda curb botting, it might take into account how genuine your actions are? I'm not sure, but all I know is that my character who moves around and does all the actions typically gains the EXP while my farmer (who sits and watches the house mostly) when the actions are done, they don't yield any exp returns.

I don't think it's a lock thing, unless the lock is paired with either a % to proc the quest, or a time for a quest to respawn/be replaced. The reason for this is that I only fish, forage and cook for my crew, and I have been the past week getting the "lift something", the "look on water", the drink, the walk on grass, the build and the sit quest. Really, really rarely I get another quest accomplish, because I don't do anything else: I log in, get my boat to a river, go out for like 2 hours, go back, butcher the fish I get, cook it and eat it, and I have been now and then getting those quest accomplish. If there were some kind of lock, any, without a "replacing" mechanic, I would have stopped getting exp, or I wouldn't be getting those quests randomly, besides repeating those actions over and over every day. I mean, I spent a whole day lifting my boat and walking on water and grass, and then I went to a shore, picked up my boat, and got both the "lift something", and at the same time the "walk on grass", like, instantly. Either it got replaced minutes before, or there was a % proc that I didn't managed to get. Or there is no assigned mission, and RNJesus just love me.

Why everyone else got problems with experience? I got tons of it, maybe everyone other studies mirkwoods 24/7
