(house door locked with same key as pvp gate for convenience)
If being chased and aggroed in pvp, you can't walk through V gates. This lets you run inside, either closing the door to break line of sight or trapping them inside with you. The log cabin can be run into to de-aggro. If the enemy manages to down you or kill you, they're stuck inside the airlock until red-handed wears off.

Same purpose of visitor gate anywhere: push the visitor flag onto anyone crossing it. Without it, you might as well not even have an airlock as they could just waltz right past the gates.

Combat breaks shortly after changing maps--in this case, entering a house. Letting combat time out while chilling inside the house a few seconds allows you to cross the visitor gate.
edit: without the house, you're just stuck in combat until the attacker leaves. Can't hearth, can't cross the visitor gate.

Sevenless wrote:Purpose of the visitor gate is to make this a simple addon to your regular entrance gate. Rather than making an entirely separate airlock, this is just "beefing up" your normal gates to also serve as a pvp airlock.
I forgot to include the roundpole fence gate. Because the Vgate prevents you from crime, an unlocked roundpole fence acts as a locked gate if you force them to get the visitor buff first. For regular village activity, leaving the Vgate open but closing the roundpole gate prevents animals from wandering in and secures this as a fully functional pvp airlock.
