I'm happy for you and have already realized my misinterpretation.

My new tower:

first stone is hornblende
second stone quartz
third stone basalt
boards are elm wood
blocks are ash.

I keep failing at understanding why the towers shows different colours based on the stone used: i had a tower with ash blocks and they showed very watery, same for the door wich was a different wood than this, but still watery.

So I've been experimenting with wood to add images to the wiki. I must say, witherstands are very underrated. Not only do they grow edible nuts, but their wood seems to be a unique shade of grey.

I've been building everything out of them, so I agree. :)

I accidentally added too many Towercap planks which ruined it but it would have looked nice ... :P
The cabin makes up for it though ... love the cabin. :D

Witherwood is great, the only problem is that you can only get blocks. I made an awesome study table at the start of this world from witherwood blocks and plane wood planks. I would put a picture up but I can't remember where I put it last time I played.

Lol ... Blinded! Where is the wood!

Image

I thought it would look like the sofa* ... with wood on it somewhere ... although looking at the build picture it clearly doesn't have wood showing on it ...

I travelled for twenty minutes through dangerous territory (as in active L5 claims - I consider them dangerous.) to get towercap as well so they would match! Lol.
Mine aren't fully grown.

I guess it may look better in other colours .....

Thumbs up to this! Made a fantastic looking windmill with the colors in mind before I started, thanks to this.
