Effectively no. The risk in the past was that you being next to the tree could stunt its growth. Now that isn't an issue and it just grows until the server says stop randomly.

Trees that are still growing do regenerate their leaves / branches. We have a bunch of trees which haven't grown to the next stage yet but had their branches restocked.

I'm guessing that decay hits caused that restock. Growth ticks seem to create new sets of what's available, but jorb said restocking of materials is only via decay hits.

Jars/water. There is no prospecting skill. Don't need a cauldron to make the extract anymore.
