Is rustroot useless now? I remember it pointed towards nearest metal if close enough, now its just telling me what non-metal rock is below me. that seems completely unhelpful, am I missing something?

also I seem to recall that the first tile of blank surface rock in caves never causes cave ins, or am I mis-remembering that? I remember scout mining but maybe I rolled the dice.

PS: just saw audiosmurf sig lol forgot I wrote that.

Prospecting still shows the pie indicating nearby metal, but only if there's metal nearby (the radius it checks depends on rustroot extract quality, I think.) It also always shows you what's beneath you.

For what it's worth metal feels like it might be scarcer, too, but I might just be getting unlucky.

Lmao apparently I made a thread about my other question in 2021 and you answered it then.

viewtopic.php?f=42&t=70204&p=876662#p876662

Almost tempted to write a guide not because I have expert knowlegde but purely to save myself time and repeated mistakes everytime I come back for world restarts.

edit: tempted to make suggestion thread but I wonder if it would need to be coded on world seed.

Is it better to do credos asap, or wait until stats are higher so they have a bigger lp benefit? I'm pretty slow, my stats aren't good yet.

You want your stats to hit a certain level before starting credos, but what stats you need per credo are different. How high is a mixture of personal preference and practicality.

Forager for example is doable with 20 exploration 20 per. But I find it more comfortable with 30 30 + gildings.

There's no way to automatically stack items in your inventory right... right?
