So, if we die..

So if we die, do we respawn at our hearthfire with a new character? What if it gets destroyed via griefing, do we have no way of getting back to base?
Just a quick question before my hopefully not-inevitable death.

At this point, all anyone can do is assume it works like previously. If you die and respawn, you can do so randomly in the wilderness or do so at your previous hearth fire. If your hearth fire is destroyed, then you can only spawn randomly.

I have a thought based on what they did with Salem, but since we have an actual hearth fire, it's probably just wishful thinking.

You spawn at your old hearth fire if it still exists. If it does not, you spawn at your most recent claim. Only if neither of those work do you get a new wilderness spawn.

"most recent" being defined as? Last one built? last one visited? last one a hearth fire was on?

Maybe I should wishfully think more.

No. You'll spawn at your current, active claim.

I heard you spawn at/near your corpse?...
Can anyone confirm/disprove this?
