A lack of stone

I can't find stone anywhere. I remember seeing rocks everywhere around the spawn area. Now that I've travelled for a bit there is none at all. I dropped my axe to pick up ingredients for a backpack figuring stone was common and now I've fucked myself over. Where get stone?

Stone is generally common but rocks are not infinite and enough players chipping away at a rock will exhaust it. The lack of stones in your area likely means that it's a well traveled path and that you'll need to move a bit further along to start finding them again.

your lucky your out of stone, my area is exhausted of any kind of food (other than berries) And i've travelled well away from the spawn hot spots

Hm, okay, thank you for the advice. Just felt it a little odd that such a common resource would be so scarce 2~ hours walk away of spawn.

It's the centralization of the spawn and the necessary sprawl that has occurred. Everyone is still within some distance of the starting area and everyone else has moved past those areas and stripped it along the way. It's an unnecessary hardship but we have to endure it for now until the land has a bit of time to heal a few days from now.
