Gain more EXP

Hey guys, I'm a little confused my friend is gaining EXP like every now and then.. but I havn't gained anything even after doing the same objectives as him.

He has around 1900 I only have 900 exp left.

You gain more EXP from random events.

Think of it like a deck of cards, except you don't know what card you have chosen.

Each card = a specific task

Each task can range form many things, some of which I have noticed:

Changing Biomes, Cutting Trees, Entering Water, Lighting a Fire, Picking items up, jumping off cliffs, etc.

Once you comeplete the task you place the card back in the deck and then "re-draw" a random card. This continues indefinitely.

Should also be noted that you can draw the same "card" multiple times.
