Rocks, incredibly rare?

How rare are boulders/rocks that you mine stone from? I've litterally been walking around for hours and can't find any. Only ones I've found were around the spawn grid, and since I've walked hours away from there I haven't found any.

Anyone else in a similair situation ?

They seem more rare now. But they also get used up and have a finite amount of stone in them. So maybe all of them got used up in your area? Farfetched but possible.

There are areas with no rocks. But those areas are rare. In most places there are 2-3 types of rocks (rocks are regional resource). Just keep walking until you start finding rocks

I highly doubt everything has been used up. I live incredibly remote, I haven't run in to any sign of civilization for many hours of walking.

You can lift small rocks, and if you chip large rocks enough you can also carry them.

I've noticed this too, the further from the initial spawn area I've gone the rarer the boulders are.
