uses for tarsticks?

so, the tool tip says they count as thatching material etc, as well as for lighting fires, i was wondering, do tarsticks unlock any new buildings or anything? otherwise, tar seems more of a byproduct, than something remotely useful

does it last longer than a firebrand? if so i could see a definate use for it, firebrands... well, suck.

If by "instant" he means "don't spend 20s and X stamina to light" it already makes it 100x better. If it lasts 5-10 minutes... whoa. what's a firebrand again? :lol:

Stick in a lit fire, then you have an instant firebrand :d. Good for kilns and ovens and whatnot.
