I go back to being a whisp?

I logged fine, crossed the river talked to the old man and placed my name.
I did not know what to do after that to come out to the world, so I walked back, discovering stuff and looking at the forum to see if there is someone as dumb as me that can not find the way to the outside world, but no. I logged out.
Now I am again a whisp, with nothing discovered, and it does not let me cross the river saying I need to know how to swim, Is this the way it is suppossed to be?.
Please, what should I do to get outside the starting place?.

You right-click the fire next to the old man. Try creating a new character if your old one is stuck. Discoveries made while in character creation zone don't seem to count IIRC, at least you don't get to keep any items you may have gathered when you are spawned in proper game world.

After giving old wizard man your name, if you have died, and coming back as new character, check runestone in graveyard, right click on fire takes you to the new world. You will be naked, good luck.

Your discoveries do count, you lose any items in inventory, but apparently not your study. I don't know if it's a bug or intended but I definitely kept the conecow I made while In creation room in my study.

I do not appear to have a char, since Im a new whisp, so I can not create a new one.
I will try again to cross the river, maybe there is a point where it is a little less wide.

BY following the path to left or right, when getting to river, should be shallow enough to cross, will appear lighter in color.

The paths are narrow. try moving around a little

I mean its a wizard. Who WOULDNT click on him.
