boat making and palisades

So, I have bought most of the skills minus trespassing etc.
I have discovered glue, rope, carpentry items and a whole host of things that should unlock these boat making and palisades...but it hasn't.

Am I doing something wrong, or is there some bug that doesn't want me to have these skills?!

You need swimming for boat making, and yeomanry for palisades, along with rope, leather, and bone glue.
W3 to W6 - Blockland. Special mentions: New Avalon, Tarn of Hotdog, Red October.
W7 - Elvenia, til we all got lazy.
W8 - Cult of R'lyeh, til the deeps called us back.
W9 - Tartarus, til death/wizards came for the land itself.
W10 - ???, ruined and forgotten.

For boatbuilding skill you need to learn Swimming, and for new uptaded palisade you need to discover rope, glue and leather and have yeomanry :)
