I've had a cave in, do I need to remove all the boulders ? I think I've read somewhere that if you have boulders around you have 100% chance of cave in, is it true ?

If it's true and I remove them, can I further mine those walls without a mine support or will it collapse again ?

Sometimes I find walls that takes forever to mine, I do 1 or 2 hourglass and then I have to drink... Does my work "stacks" like trees or do I need to mine the wall in one go I am talking about extrerior ones... With colored walls I know the hourglasses stack. But after 3 or 4 drinks some grey walls wouldnt collapse...
