You need any kind of seeds, 5 of them, so the same as to plant a tile of the crop. You can use it to plant grass on any wrongly paved stone inside Adventure > Landscaping.

I thought Stomp to Dirt removes pavement also. Cheaper than using seeds.

yea stomp to dirt is the best option
