What do the wear and armor class values mean?

If armor can "wear out" how can it be repaired. (my boots, armor and pants are now 15 leather total) making a new set will be awhile it would be great if we can restore damaged equipment.

Presumably once the wear value goes to 0 the armor gets destroyed. You would have to make a new version of it

If the armor class is like 4/5, I think it means it will block 9 damage, 4 of which will be straight up deflected and 5 is absorbed and damages the item.

I seem to also think the 4 glanced damage was taken off first. So if you got hit for 4 damage, the armor wouldn't take any.

It's been a while though.

Be nice if we had the ability to repair stuff rather than wait for it to break.

Wasn't in on the old game, kinda expect it won't be in this one either. Most people would ditch armor at ~25% hp left rather than let it break on them in combat.

Armor works just as it always has. The first value is how much damage the armor absorbs without taking damage, and the second how much it absorbs and converts to damage to itself. Yes, repair would be neat.

So wear is essentially the armor HP? if it absorb 4 damage (after deflecting whatever amount), then the wear will go up by 4?

After having tested it, yes. New name, same concept as old haven.

Old ql 10 boar tusk can handle 120 dmg, new haven ql 9 boar tusk I just made have 24 wear with 1/6 armor class. Will be easily smashed to pieces by ants.
