1. how do you tell the time it takes to study items?
2. Is there anything that can lower the study time?

1: There will be a timer shown on the item, remember when you put the item in, check an hour later, do a little multiplication, take a note.
2: Falling into a coma (can be substituted with sleep for a lesser effect) will reduce the perceived time.

well I think he means you... go to sleep, time moves faster.
