Harvesting hemp

I started harvesting my first batch of crops. I finished all the flax and everything was well, a fiber and 10 seeds per harvested square. Then I moved on to my Hemp and noticed that I was only getting Hemp Fibers, no seeds or buds at all. Both crops were planted at the same time, is this only a matter of different grow times? Do i need to wait a bit more for the hemp to grow or do I need to process it somehow to get the seeds?
Plz help, I just want to blaze it.

Partially solved: seeds were landing on held bucket. Still no buds.

Hemp Fibers are also not unlocking Cloth either.

They have large orange-ish buds when harvestable. If you get seeds you waited for too long.

no textile, but it is still plant fiber for crafting and building, as well as string.

WTB hemp burlap for bulk goods storage!

Hemp doesn't work for herbalist tables, or shouldn't? It specifically asks for flax fiber.

Funny... mine just says plant fiber and I've put two hemp into it. I just harvested the first flax earlier today, but had started the first herb table the day before after I harvested hemp the first time.

edit: never mind, it does say flax fibers, but pretty sure I did use hemp to build with.
