Kinda stupid to have massive tracts of the world taken for no reason other than making a permadeath game less permadeath.

i guess this is ok.. makes claiming more complex, and important. howeever i am sad i lost my lp, i didnt read and reclaimed hoping to buff my exploration and go for a journey.

I think that would be a fair system all considered. Right now my big Pclaim we were living on before Vclaim is just 20k lost LP to me. There's plenty of valid reasons within the gameplay mechanics that require sunk LP in claims that lose utility after a while.

That also allows for "negotiated declaiming" of areas to cost less to the person being coerced to declaim.
