Splash damage from outside the claim?

i'm wondering if i should build my palisade right on the edge of my claim or leave some space so people can't splash damage my walls from outside the claim, therefore gaining access to my base without vandalism, salem-style? is that a thing on haven 2.0?

yeah, but what i'm asking is, can something built outside of your claim splash damage something built inside?

like if someone builds a palisade cornerpost next to my palisade walls and then destroy it, will it damage my palisade walls too even if they're claimed?

nevermind, i just tested it inside my claim and did not work. it's all good. can build walls next to the claim border safely.

They're referring to a salem mechanic. Since salem was not on target, but aimed attacks hitting a wall with AoE damage was probably able to hurt a wall and it sounds like it bugged out the scent system.

The "splash" damage you're referring to is the domino chain of walls collapsing. This only works if the walls have equal or higher soak to those they are spreading the damage to. This effect does indeed ignore all forms of claims, but since the wall has to completely dry before it influences a dried pally wall on a claim I don't see this as being troublesome.
