Even more questions on taming

Postby Kinglazy » Wed Sep 09, 2015 3:43 am

I tied the auroch in my base, waited for him to get in stance, fought him but he never changed his "drunk" stance. I noticed that the sword turned to a plant so I assumed I should stop but his stance still didn't change. After a moment he resumed the normal stand and after reading some guides I proceeded to feed a clover and tie him again netting me 15 points.

It feels like I just reset the whole thing from the start, am I doing this right? When exactly do I know the animal has yielded? Do I have to feed clover and retie to post each time or just leave and wait for it to get in to the weird stance again?

I haven't tried taming myself yet, but from what I can tell based on reading prior threads, you appear to be doing it right. You get a +15 every time you tie him down, I believe, and eventually he'll be tamed if you keep doing that. Be sure to tie it down after giving him his thorough beatings though, or he'll run away.

These threads had a lot of useful information regarding taming as people attempted to figure out how it worked, if you haven't seen them yet.

Ya already checked those, didn't answer anything. It seems that taming isn't working as planed, gonna have to wait for an answer.
