in the old game they were made from clay, have you yourself discovered clay, got pottery, and discovered dried and crushed tobacco?

In all seriousness though, travel weariness doesn't exist in EA Haven, and tabacco/wine/beer was used to restore travel Weariness, which is accumulated by teleporting to your hearthfire or waypoints.

Dig clay -> Craft pipe -> Fire in kiln -> Equip baked pipe -> Grind Pipeweed with quern -> Left click pipeweed, right click pipe -> Firebrand the pipe -> Enjoy your funny smoke with no buffs.

In legacy Haven, smoking buds also gave the buff "In the fog" which increased in potency the longer someone would smoke. The buff increased FEP gains from eating food. Is this in the current game?
