Postby Apillion » Wed Sep 09, 2015 5:22 pm

So i have been experimenting with fishing if anyone knows a good way to get a certain fish type post it here and lets test them.

On my first fishing expedition with bloated leeches in deep lake the results were :

Levaret x 4
Pike x 3
Chub x 4
Ruffe x 1
Silver Bream x 1
Bream x 1
Plaice x1
Ide x 1
Asp x 1

Next ill be testing dragonflies ^^

Good luck testing fishing mechanics. Theres been tries to find out them on legacy. But i think no one has successed so far even though some guys made huge spreadsheets of them.

I never had an issue catching what I wanted when I wanted on legacy. Of course, mileage always varied, and I would get random stuff at certain times and locations due to RNG or just flat crossover of baits and times..

Id have to say i agree dragonfly fishing yielded great results...

First i mounted up my trusty steed and waded into the nearest swamp caught 25 emerald and 2 ruby bonus...
After collecting my fox hat that the leeches knocked off while trying to suck my brain out i headed over to my boat
loaded it up with my dragon flies and a spare hook and string...

Headed into the murky depths of tears lake, dragonflies and all

After a hour of reading and some fishing the results came back and i have to say i am impressed.

Zander x 4
carp x 2
Silver Bream x 3
Lavaret x 3
Burbot x 1
Pike x 1
Asp x 1
Bream x 2
Tench x 2
Chub x 2
Ruffe x 2

Next i might look at Ladybugs

Started this 50 min before saabo's post.

Is there any evidence ingame of what the moon cycle is?

I'm certain they ported over the old moon cycle system to this version of the game. I have a little lake I fish in, the fish have been cycling as to which bait catches what over the past 5 days.

No dev confirm, but it's the only plausible explanation considering it existed as a system in the old game.

They also seem to have ported the inability (as far as I've ever known) to know what part of the cycle it is XD
