Enemy's bond of blood & soil

Postby akadiablo » Thu Sep 10, 2015 2:53 pm

I am just killed one guy and take his bonds, put it in study, but didnt see any progress. I heard from jorb(or loftar maybe) that you can take enemy's claim someway using this bond. It is working already or i should better just drop them and wait for claims to decay?

On this note, is there any plans to implement a way you can find the claim? I found a Bond and converted it to be mine but I have no idea where it is

If the killed guy inherits now - will he inherit the claim too? If he then gets the bond from this claim will the attacker still have the possibility of taking over the claim after 96h?

The bond is not tied to claim inheritance until after 96 hours. If the person ancestor inherits the claim, there is an option to forge a new bond at the claim which destroys the existing one.

This is my understanding of the system. It makes me wonder exactly what the point of the force inheritance is though. I hate the idea of forced takeover of an active player's claim (especially since you can battering ram down the pole if you really want the spot). But at the same time, if it's mostly aimed at inactive players who never log in how exactly do you get the bond?

No, you can not find the claim, and there are no plans to make it so that you can.

If the claim has switched owners then it has for all intents and purposes indeed switched owners, and the original owner and his heirs have no rights to the claim what-so-ever.

Studied for 96hrs, of course. Just taking the bond, or for that matter putting it in your inventory, implies nothing.
