No. It just prevents someone running to your base and sealing you in with easy walls

Well in that case I think the cornerposts should end the dominos, i mean why should me killing a gate cause the rest of my walls to fall down?

I've never actually understood the point of wall domino damage. Maybe it's just so raiders/fighting don't have to clip through a super tiny area during raids. It's not like palisade walls are pricey though so *shrugs*

*shrugs* At least they're cheap? It only goes about 15 tiles in each direction, that's a pretty small palisade if so. That's probably something like 1 tree worth of wood.

Frankly it's better for larger remodels. Bashing each post would be a pain compared to domino rebuilding.

I don't ever remember quite so many sections falling at once. Was the wall fairly new (low soak) or had any parts of it taken decay damage? Most I've ever had fall on a wall I know was fully repaired was around 4-5, though the next 3-4 either side were severely damaged.

I've had 10 tiles fall in either direction. Pretty sure there's RNG in it.

Maybe it was a bug in the old versions, but I'd go through and repair my palisade after it was built. About 1 in 3 sections would need a block of wood, even if the land was claimed. Any damage to the palisade from decay or other sources, and it causes the domino effect to increase due to already existing damage.
