A lot of buildings will have similar soak to a cabin I'd expect? And I'm having a real pain of a time tracking down the old formulas but I think it was 200ish str to do that by hand.

If you want to remodel, battering ram time.

damage dealt = sqrt (str) + tool dmg; tool dmg being +1 for stone axe, +2 for pick axe, +4 for sledgehammer.

Given numbers we've known in the past, I'm going to guess a tar kiln has a soak of at least 10 for now, and could be higher. It's probably got as many HP as a palisade wall section if not more, too.

You could, but I can assure you that it would be a bad investment, as I have a point on my todolist that says, simply, "tarkiln soak".

That is great.

What do you think about a point on that list saying somthing like 'reduced soak for owner of claim when claim is older than the object' to make redecoration a bit easier ?

Not thrilled about that, but it's an idea, I suppose.

Crucibles also seem to have high soak
Not sure if that's intended or not
Edit: not actually on the same level as the tar kiln, can be broken with 25 strength and a stone axe
