Diagonal palisades?

Postby cLick1338 » Fri Sep 11, 2015 7:26 pm

Can it be done? Tried it with a fence and couldn't figure it out.

If you want a perfect diagonal line without a bunch of cornerposts, no. If you don't mind zig-zagging, then CP-wall-CP, turn, CP-wall-CP, turn etc.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

Welp. Thanks for the replies.

It's a bit absurd as almost everything else can be built/placed diagonally. I wonder if it's ever going to be implemented.

Palisades are a defense mechanic, buildings not so much. Allowing rotate-able palisades would much up defense hitboxes and probably get some people killed by having a tiny hole in their wall at some point. If you mean diagnoal as in not rotate able, I could see that at some point. But it's a rather minor feature that would likely take some work, so I wouldn't expect it anytime soon.

They're still pushing to re-implement all the legacy systems they didn't have time for yet.
