make new lock, Rclick the masterkey you want to control that door into it, apply lock to door.

Key rings hold up to 9 keys in one inventory slot. That's useful too.

Not necessarily. As long as you're only carrying a slave key around and have the master key secured somewhere like a key alt then there's no risk to having one slave key open multiple doors.

Wow.. thanks for this.. So if you drop a key does it decay? Sorry coming from wurm where locks and keys don't decay so I was just wondering?

Yeah but i fyou have more than 1 gate into your base needing only 1 key for all of them is nice. (not an airlock system)

BTW for reference you left click your master key, and right click on a lock to make it match that key, then install the lock.

You only need 1 key for an airlock system too. It's not like they can breach any of the gates with the key.
