If you use spruce trees to create there biom all other trees planted on the same terrain that the spruce made will grow at the same speed as the spruce..

Note:
This might be a bug and could get fixed

All trees produce the same generic forest tile called "wald" if you dig through the resources (or if you're on a custom client and can look it up). jorb says it is very much intended.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

1. Seems bushes grow much faster than trees. If you want high ql blocks quickly for tools, plant bushes and chop them.

-------------------------------

2. Building walls - Now that we can "prepare for gate" you can save on wrought iron by simply running the walls into each other at the last corner post. Just simply don't build the last corner post. Careful as someone could grief you by building off it and extending to your gate (ez fix by just having the "no corner post" corner far from gate).

Also if you plan to build a 2nd bwall later you can continue off the non ended wall later.
Ohhh that's how I make a sig, cool

You can use the Raw Wild Beef you get from cows in a chicken coop, and then use a bucket to remove the product of it called "Swill" and put it in your cattle-trough. If anyone is struggling to feed their animals or want to get rid of the wild beef.

You can transfer items from a container to a stockpile, as long as you have access to both of its windows.

Loftar, around the same time of posting, said all forest tiles were supposed to be as fast as Wald. If I had logs for my IRC client I'd quote 'em.

Using a Clay Cauldron can be a real pain in the butt, as you have to wait a good 5 mins or more for it to actually boil (be usable). As it warms up it also consumes both the water and fuel, which can be very wasteful if you have a limited supply of good water. It actually does not require any water to be present to "warm up", however. You can start the fire under it and let it burn a while, and then add the water only as you are going to actually craft with it. When you add the water it will instantly boil (assuming the warm up time has passed). Then, when you are done crafting, you can use a bucket to remove the remaining water and keep the fire burning if you wish or simply lift the cauldron to extinguish the fire.
