Usages of clover

Postby b0r3d0m » Mon Sep 14, 2015 9:38 am

Sup guys.

Is it absolutely safe to shear a sheep after using a clover? Am I need smth else for this task?

Is there any other usages of this item btw? Can I get a hair from bulls, for example?

Thanks in advance.

It is absolutely safe to shear a mouflon, milk an aurohson, or ride a horse after feeding them a clover. With horses just be sure to hop off before you run out of pony power. Some say that it's safe to yank auroch hair after feeding them a clover too but I've never verified that so I can't say for sure. You need a sharp object, such as a stone axe, in your hand to shear. You also need an empty bucket to gather milk from an auroch.

Clovers are necessary for taming animals as well. Feed them a clover then use a rope on them to have them follow you. Bring them back to a hitching post to begin the taming process.

You can get hair from bulls, shear sheep (as long as you have axe equipped), and give it to a horse to ride for a short period of time.

Its very rare that they aggro when taking hair. I have took atleast 30-40 hairs and only 2 times aggroed.

There's also a rare chance of getting a curio, a 4-Leaf Clover, from picking one. It's pretty decent.

I wouldn't say "very rare." However, it does appear to be a significantly reduced chance. Since you don't get mobbed by an entire herd and killed for pissing off one aurochs, I've been doing a lot of hair pulling. To note, my statistics aren't a wide enough range to confirm, but seems like around 50% chance without the clover, 10 or 20% chance with.
