Does it improves choping/mining speed? Or gives more dmg when using chop?

choping seems to be as slow as with stone one...

Higher combat damage and cutting wood blocks yields more blocks per log.

Jorb stated when it was reported that it should cut trees faster too iirc. That bugfix maybe next patch?

Would expect that to stay, pickaxe has a massive mining speed boost on it.
