Deep cuts.

Postby El-wook » Tue Sep 15, 2015 4:54 pm

So about deep cuts. I have 17 different ones right now ranging from 2 to 8. How would I go about getting rid of them, other then using 17 stinging paultices? I read on the wiki that a gauze heals 33.3% of your hp so I assumed it would heal all of your wounds but it seems to be working only on one regardless. Them not healing by itself also seems to be a bit of a hurdle.

Basically, I'd like some ideas on how to deal with the situation.

17 poultices or 16 + 1 gauze. You're probably reading legacy gauze stuff, it only heals a single cut now.

Yeah I did, I don't think there's a good wiki for h&h2 yet. Do we have an equivalent for gauze from h&h1?

There is no "equivalent" because of the wound system. Specific techniques need to be used to heal up HHP damage.

You'll just have to make 17 poultices friend... I had 22 cuts myself. After using 6 poultices I now only have 16!

I find putting on the poultices at night before you go to sleep is a good idea. They'll be mostly healed or all healed by tmr morning (depending on when you wake up and what quality your poultices are).

Damn.. I'd rather if the deep cuts stacked. Even if up to 10 damage, I would have only about 8 deep cuts to heal if they added into the old ones instead of making a new entry each time.

Yeah, that's weird. I see some wounds stacking, others won't, and sometimes the ones that will stack don't always stack.

Well if your deep cuts stacked they'd no longer be "deep cuts"? Might turn into "gapping wound" or "constantly bleeding cut".

Never said it would be a realistic mechanic ^^ Maybe if a couple deep cuts are added into each other make it a "deeper cut"? :D "You were cut in the same area on your body several times, each one making it deeper. It probably won't kill you but you can heal it using stinging paultice."

I mean, wouldn't be the worst idea cmon :D

Whether they stack or not is a unique quality of the wound. We want to do more with the progression and regression of them in general.
