How do I get vinegar? Do I leave wine in the demijohn? Do I need to move it to a barrel? Do I need to bathe naked in the light of a red moon?

In w7 the demijohn made it stay at wine, so I'd guess barrel. the bathing can't hurt though, better keep doing that too!

Demijohns specifically prevent wine from turning into vinegar so, as Hervarth said, leave it in a barrel and after some time it will turn into vinegar. Wine in buckets won't turn into vinegar either.

Really should if you think about it. We can still abuse cabinets for storing liquid in buckets atm.

I more meant if we're going to have specialized wine storage, buckets + cabinets are still breaking that from a gameplay perspective. Wasn't thinking realism at all.

The point was so that you don't need to store it all in cabinets to prevent it from quickly turning. It was a desperate workaround. Some people are just quirky about using new things.

But I get what you're saying. If only we had some way to store a lot of barrels neatly....

That's how it was in haven, yes. But it's already different in hafen, as you initially brew in the demijohn. It also says you store the wine in barrels.


Which is why I was asking for clarification, wondering if someone's figured out what to do already
