Metal axes not working?

Postby El-wook » Thu Sep 17, 2015 2:21 pm

Doesn't seem like they work any better then a stone axe, in comparison to how much faster a pickaxe does it's job.

For doing what?

Chopping a tree down I'm guessing. Wasn't there a bug report about that a while back?

Exactly this. We have resorted to only using the metal axe for fighting and stone axes for chopping trees

It is better in speed, but not in stamina, I believe. Arguably it should be both.

Chopping trees is already so fast drinking water takes up a significant amount of the time involved. Testing them both it's hard to notice the difference. I'd say more speed isn't needed, but the stam reduction would be super nice.

Felt disappointing when I found out it still took so much stamina for clearing a few trees..

That's what i figured the metal axe would do, chop trees faster and reduce stamina drain. And be useful in combat as well of course.

Was chopping a tree with a metal axe, used exactly as much stamina as I did using a stone axe. According to the wiki (from the previous iteration..) the stamina drain should be considerably reduced and yet the effect is left unseen.

If I compare it to a shovel or a pickaxe, its simply out of place and seems not to be working as intended.

Old Haven had no Metal Axe, though...?

Oh well, it should probably conserve stamina and increase speed. Will fix.
