Archery on boat?

Tried to shoot some random animals using the shoot command while i was on a boat. But my character decided to activate his inner Gandhi and threw the arrows in the water.(No white trail after shooting, animal still aggroed)
Can you still hunt animals while on a boat or do you have to be on foot to shoot now? Bow and arrow quality were pretty low too,(5-7 ish?) does that affect hit chance?

Depends on the animal. Passive animals can be boxed in using building or storage signs. Aggressive animals can be trapped in the same way "if" you have a second account with characters nearby or a friend who's not afraid to be KO'd. Animals like horses, boar, cows, and sheep can be fed a clover, roped, and then sign-posted in and shot to death with no real risk of KO. Bears are in my experience, colossal pains in the ass at current.

Use cliffs, animals can't jump up and down cliffs and sufficiently large cliffs block an animal from pathing around to attack you. Shoot them then chase them down and melee them to death if/when they run. Don't try this with bears or bears will eat you.

If you find a rare piece of bear droppings, and lean in close, you can still smell the fear and hear the screams.

Yes you can, I have killed many animals from boat. It is somewhat derpy though, sometimes you will only miss.

I think it depends on positioning properly.
